About Me

Beginning the college process can be filled with wonder, hope, fun and excitement. It can also be a time of great anxiety. My goal is to help students focus on the fun and excitement of the process and help eliminate the stress.

My career as a high school guidance counselor has spanned more than 19 years at three different high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve worked with thousands of families with all sorts of backgrounds; including families with limited resources and families with high levels of support.  I have a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Saint Mary's College and a certificate in College Admission Counseling from UC Berkeley Extension.

As a former counselor, I know how important it is to treat each student as a unique individual, to listen closely to their own hopes and dreams, and to create meaningful conversations that will help each student find the right fit for college.

I am a member of The Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and I'm a certified essay coach through The College Essay Experience.
